Sleeping in on a Saturday morning is always interesting on the farm! We heard a loud clatter on the roof early this morning right above our bed! Needless to say, we were quite startled and I went running out side to see what happened. Turns out the two turkey hens had decided to fly up there and go for a walk! You can hear my befuddlement in the pre-coffee morning video😜[fb_vid id=”1649523731786918″] Source
Little Man really loved meeting the alpacas! We really enjoyed the farm tour at Good Karma Ranch Alpacas for National Alpaca Farm Day! We are now motivated to put the goats to work clearing pasture land in preparation for alpacas (1-2 years down the road!) Source
We checked on the Bunnies this morning and only found one of them there. We kind of think this is a third one, as he was much more vocal and frisky then the other two were. Little Man held him for a little bit and when we put him back down, he hopped away into the woods. I picked up the rest of the log pile and did not find any more Bunnies. To my great relief, the little critter scrambled in my hands to find a small spot to hide! All its limbs working very well. …
Ethel thinks her big brother, Zach, is a great climbing post to get at those delicious leaves! Also helps keep half-sister Lucy from sneaking in and stealing them all! #goatlife[fb_vid id=”1560923250646967″] Source

We think the chicks like their new home, however they may not be so keen on their upstairs neighbors! We moved the chicken tractor to the fresh grass at the top of the hill. Then the chickens got to graduate from the brooder onto fresh grass! Within seconds of us repositioning the chicken tractor, the goats took advantage of the new perch to get at fresh greens! So much so that Ethel was climbing on top of Zach to reach the vine he just pulled down! Nevertheless, the chicks seemed quite happy to have the extra space and to start …
